Like Perry and Jindal, may be shooting their mouths off prematurely..
My understanding is that if you don't implement the law, you don't get matching funds for medicaid expansion.. But residents of the state are STILL REQUIRED to purchase care. This will not sit well with many lower income (And even middle class) families as they begin to lose any care they have and are forced to purchase it on the open market. |

It's good to see at least a couple Gov's trying to act like a fucking Governor.
I'll never understand why they gave their powers up in the first place..... The Gov's, could stop all this shit, in a heartbeat....but they're too worried about losing a couple bucks of fed money, to stand up for their state, and their office. |

It's good to see at least a couple Gov's trying to act like a fucking Governor. People still have to have ins and employers will still be dropping their coverage.. They're going to lose medicaid funds and perhaps even the federal matching funds.. What do you do THEN? |

Well, they're going to suffer all of the negative effects, regardless. The taxes and the mandate stand. They're "Constitutional" now.. Gov's get voted OUT of course........and the next guy promises to suck federal cock, and 'fix' things.......(IE, get more free stuff to the people). What won't happen, is that people won't say 'Holy fuck, we gotta fix this, it's gonna suck, but we HAVE to fix things'. It's sad really. |

What then? If they lose the sliding scale matching funds, and the medicaid money.. Governors will be in a real spot. They'll almost have to implement it. You can't fight it back up to the court.. They've ruled on it. The GOP could kill it, so that's about the only hope.... But until (and unless) they do, I dunno what good option governors have left. It's been ripped right out of their hands and what remains is stacked against them. |

HOW IN HELL IS THE PRESIDENT GOING Who is appointed by the President. So, that gives some sway to the executive. A President will also have to sign laws repealing it. |
