Default Question on Mitt Romney and the Dream Act.
Mitt has flipped on the Dream Act.

He said he'd veto it.. Now, he supports it.

He doesn't like Obama's temporary, executive version of it.. He'd rather make it permanent.

So.... Given his past..

Who here thinks he will flip of AGW? Guns? Trade? Abortion? Gay Marriage? Taxes? De-Regulating? Keystone? or ANY of the other promises he has made?

I mean, he just said as recently as January that he opposed DREAM? He doesn't even have the nomination yet..

????

I'm not surprised he flipped on Dream. Abortion, I don't think any POTUS can change that, unfortunately. Gay sex either. If they could, Bush would have. Guns, trade, Keystone, deregulation, I don't think he'll flip on them. Maybe it's wishful thinking though. Please don't burst my bubble. I'm an eternal optimist.

Yeah, see.. I'm not either, really.

That's the problem I have with people who consider me a traitor for not supporting . They knew he wasn't strong on the things I care about, knew he was lying and just didn't care.. So long as it strung the social conservatives and constitutionalists along till their votes were cast, they couldn't care less..

It's like "tee-hee-hee"

That doesn't make me a traitor or a non-conservative.. It just makes him a shameless liar.

He will go wherever the political winds takes him... if that means changing his position from that of a conservative (and he's never been a conservative) to a big government liberal, so be it. He'll do it in a heartbeat if he thinks that it is expedient to his campaign to do so. The man has a track record of being a big government progressive... A leopard cannot change it's spots...

Whats the alternative? Four more years of obama incompetence and america-hating? may have changed his position on some issues, but he is still a much better choice than more obama.

if you have another viable alternative, lets hear it..

Do it for long enough, and I get the added benefit of no jury duty either.

I will say this about Mitt. And it's just a gut feeling.

I think Mitt wants to be president so fucking bad, and also wants to get in there and be considered one of the best presidents ever, that he is likely to listen to the people, to some degree.

Bush and Obama haven't given a flying fuck what the public thought about them.

Now, that probably means Mitt will flipflop all over the place, but at least he'll be following the will of the people...

Who is he going to listen to? Right now, it seems he wants to please progressives. He started out his campaign pretending that he was a conservative. Who the fuck is this guy anyway?

If RP is sooooo serious why hasn't he done a single thing in all of his years in congress? Why does he support pork for his district and at the same time complain about pork?

He is not serious, he is a fraud, and you have bought into it.
