We have to get to the independents, and the youth, and those who have never paid attention.

If we want the youth, we need to turn out the GOP.. They've had chance after chance to attack government indoctrination and have demurred.

It can't be genetic. If it's genetic, I don't know what to do... It could be.. I don't know anything about it.

It might even be helpful if it were.

Their opinions could be dismissed outright if they were genetically flawed.

If it is genetic, there should be research and a quest for a "cure"

"Help fix Paul Krugman.. Donate today, and save someone you love from becoming a fucking idiot."

I googled Rocat defective gene theory, it proves to be correct.
A study of 2,000 adolescents does not prove anything.

Even if it were true.. Government indoctrination has at least as much to do with it as genetics.

It's telling that you can put someone in a college setting for a couple of years and turn them into a liberal with amazing precision.

They like to portray this as becoming "smart"

I'd agree with that, except their prescriptions do not work.

Therefore, it must be something else.

"The study was led by UCSD's James Fowler and focused on 2,000 subjects from the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health. Scientists matched the subjects' genetic information with "maps" of their social networks. According to researchers, they determined that people "with a specific variant of the DRD4 gene were more likely to be liberal as adults." However, the, subjects were only more likely to have leanings to the left if they were also socially active during adolescence."

If that's the case.... We can't take any more "smart"

Being "smart" means opposing growth policies. "Smart" means spending more than you make..

"Smart" has failed us in every arena..

Atmosphere and peer pressure are insanely powerful. The Amish way of life, for instance, is maintained solely by peer pressure. The threat of being shunned.

You see this with words. Like "nigger". That's just a word, and I hear it all the time, being a construction worker, and hanging out at DLP. The word has almost no meaning to me. I'm desensitized to it.

But I can remember, back in High School, hearing my Dad use that word and being shocked and appalled, because, you know, that was unacceptable!!!

We wage wars on terrorism and drugs but allow the biggest threat to "our freedom" to fester unabated right here at home.

I saw that in some instances when I was in college. But it doesn't work on everybody. I didn't consider myself political at all when I was in college. Didn't identify with a philosophy. But all the liberal bullshit my Profs tossed at me made me laugh.
There seemed to be a desire to worship profs by many students. Those prone to such behavior were the ones who came out the most liberal.

Yeah, but it's very profitable.. It also serves as a foil for the Repubs.

It's a measure of influence..

There was an experiment at Harvard or somewhere, in which a couple of straight lines were drawn on a blackboard and the class was asked if the lines were straight or curved..

They got some professors to go first and claim they were curved.. and then the students answered curved as well.

Even though they were straight.

They SHOULD BE.. And we should make sure there's a penalty for liberalism.

When in power, we should de-fund their institutions... Boycott their products and crush the companies who lobby for liberal ends.

Liberalism should much hurt more than it does.. The GOP doesn't view this as we do.

To them it is all a game and it is a very good game.. We see it as the future of the Republic. They just see a series of wins and losses in a zero sum game they play with our money and freedom.

I started college when I was 23 and graduated when I was 27. I was fully indoctrinated into liberal thought.......even though on a sub conscious level, I knew everything they were telling me was utter bullshit and meant to guilt me because I was white/middle class.

Thank God at age 30, I woke up and never looked back.

I never bought their crap and it REALLY upset them.. For a bunch that's supposed to be so open to ideas, they sure don't appreciate it when you do a little independent analysis.

Something odd: They also don't like the idea of not being needed.. If you don't need them, or value their thoughts, it REALLY BUGS THEM.. It's almost pathological.

They are very dependent on each other.. They need group feedback and approval.

People who do not are instantly viewed as suspect.
