Default Reject the Status Quo
We're not going to win this year. But we are growing in numbers, every day. It's high time we killed the two-party system, and we're well on our way to that.

This is not the time to sit home and not be heard. This is not the time to cave in and vote for whomever you perceive as the lesser of two evils. This is the time to make your protest vote, for whichever lesser candidate you feel best represents you. Or write in a vote. But be heard.

If Americans are going to take their country back, we are going to have to reject the false choices that are offered up to us every 2 years. The parties are so corrupt that in many cases, an honest candidate can't even be considered for nomination, at any level. So it's not good enough to vote anti-incumbent, or for the opposing party. You have to vote outside the box, outside their sphere of influence.

We're not trying to send a message to the parties. We're trying to KILL the parties. They'll never get the message. Our message is for the other voters. Only when they see growing numbers voting for other candidates, will they begin to pay attention, to see that there are other options, and that those options are legitimate.

We can get there from here, though it will be a long slog. But we have to keep this momentum. No surrender in November. Let the chips fall where they may...

I agree completely, and step one is removing obama from power. it will be a long and painful struggle, but we can win if we keep the faith and remain dedicated. We must also use logic and common sense and take it one step at a time. Get the emotion out of it and use reason and clear thinking.

If we do not remove obama, it will extend the turnaround by 10 years or more.

Great post, Jeshu! Fuck the 2-party system and fuck the status quo. Neither party represents "the people." Fuck them both!

OK, guys we all agree that both parties suck. Like thats some new revelation that Jes conjured up in the sweat lodge. Its been that way for 100 years or more.

What will change it? revolution, sesession, anarchy, a coup? What is it you want?

I don't want to fire them and hire their brother.

We need to vote outside the 2P system. The parties are corrupted beyond repair.

How do we "stop playing their game" ? it sounds great until you actually think about it. what are you going to do? stop paying taxes,? attack your local IRS office? blow up a bridge?

join the OWS idiots? how about this---something that might actually work---join the tea party.

For all its faults the Republican party is the "lesser of two evils." Sad state of affairs both major parties can suck start a tractor trailer rig while even the skuzziest (might not be a word) of whores has trouble suck starting a Harley.

Point to ponder - If everyone rejects the status quo then won't rejecting the status quo become the status quo and therefore need to be rejected by those intent on rejecting the status quo. Shit I need to get more hobbies.

Never vote for a Democrat or Republican again. But always vote.

I laid this all out in the OP. It was quite eloquent. You should read it.

No. If the status quo were liberty, we'd want to adhere to and defend it vigorously.

Protest for the sake of protest is simply misanthropy...

In my estimation there's no political solution left. Even if Paul were elected, he would have to deal with the Republicrat congress. If he WERE elected, we might stand a very small chance of reversing certain cancerous trends. But I believe this monster can no longer be caged. Prepare for upheaval.

The first problem is that we have to come up with a viable 3rd party candidate. We cant have a guy who only makes sense on the one hand but wants to jerkoff Muslims with his other hand. We need a pro business candidate that is determined to stamp out dumb fuckism and political hypocrisy.

Well we have a president that some think makes sense and who wants to jerk off Muslims. The republican opposing him strikes me as a glorified used car salesman who is only interested in telling the voters what he thinks they want to hear. Maybe will surprise me but I'm not going to hold my breath.

The problem with Obama is that NOTHING he says or does makes sense. The only thing he has done is stand idly by and allow energy prices to rise just enough that it makes the cost input of shipping high enough that it in some cases it actually makes sense to manufacture some goods in the US again. Of course its at our expense but what isnt? As for he has the mindset of a rabid dog and used it well at Bain Capital when he had too but as president I'm not that would always be a good thing. I will say this much. I will take a very very successful business mind over a community organizer 10 times out of 10.
