"DEBATES" AREN'T MUCH BETTER, IF ANY.

ELECTIONS ARE ALL ABOUT THE INCUMBENT'S RECORD IN OFFICE.

You can be an American in spite of. And political parties, if anything, prevent radicalization. For what it's worth, you simply could not "do away" with political parties in the sense that it follows along the bridge of what the Constitution was going for: a chance for people with different views to gather and support an idea, something that they COULD NOT do in England. Two people walk into a room and they are bound to have different views. Unless it's a NN rally, lol. But I mean, generally. The basis was just. Today? Everything involving money or influence is, by design, corrupt. And the fact that there is little to be done is because people are way too stern on their positional power to relinquish it. Notwithstanding the fact that successors also revel in the power. It's a long line of elite. The 180 degree turnaround? Pipe dream.

You could argue an uprising, but an overhaul would only be somewhat realized by a mass uprising. Even if it's stated in the Constitution that the people have the right to overthrow a corrupt system, they'd reverse that as treason/conspiracy. The elite have their hands in the pockets of nations spanning the globe. It's not like they can be just done away with instantaneously.

There wouldn't be enough people to latch onto that anyway. And considering the WN movement (for example) is relatively small and scrutinized, even if they were to manage to "take control" how would the rest of the world react? Why do you believe a truly unified government would be a bad thing anyways?

I'm sure people don't view "debates" as the end-all of decision, either. What's wrong with debate AND incumbent's office record? You have a choice to ignore the debate.
