Maybe because federal government is fair?! Even if equally tyrannical. No bribery, knowing a guy who know's a guy, no racial profiling, no bullshit to get you out of it. If one of us gets screwed, we all get screwed. Which motivates everyone to take part in the process to insure that we don't.

It seems awfully suspicious that Christians and libertarians seem so different, yet go about the same method of politics. It's not a coincidence at all. Both rely on controlling their environment. Once people are recognized as one giant community, it's a lot harder to do that. Christians and libertarians need fences, races, sexuality, and other means to separate people from one another. To control, without risking getting controlled themselves.

Libertarians aren't a joke because they're out of the mainstream. They're a joke because they're out of touch with reality. Reality is not convenient for them and their ayn rand utopia.

As to racism, sexism, whatever, I'm all for them. I love profiling. And who are you to tell me I can't dislike or choose not to associate with anyone, for any reason?
