Default Santorum says economy is improving, GOP needs to vote for a warmonger...
http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_1...=re1.galleries

"In the face of increasingly good jobs numbers, he argued, the economy may be taking a back seat to foreign policy. repeatedly has sought to make the case that the election revolves around his ability to bolster the economy better than President Obama.

"I may not have been a Wall Street private equities fund manager, but I served eight years on the [Senate] Armed Services Committee," Santorum said, in a clear attempt to discredit the experience of his rival, , who has centered his campaign around his business experience."

That's the neo-cons' answer to everything-- war, war, war. Whatever happened to liberty and non-interventionism?

No.

They were basically neocons, with a liberal/left bent.

Much like bush, who was a neocon, with a right/bent.

Same thing, different day really.

I agree with you that both parties have spent us into oblivion, but I object to placing labels on any group of people.

Neocon is just a bullshit name made up by a small group of idiots and then used as a rallying cry by the far left and the far right.

neocon---new conservative is a meaningless term. It fires up idiots like Jeshu because they are too naive to comprehend the truth.

I don't think that is what it is.

IMO, the OLD meaning of 'conservative' or 'liberal', has changed. What is called 'conservative' NOW, is NOT what a conservative was years ago.

It's morphed. (and NOT for the better).

Same as a liberal. An Old School Lib, will NOT agree with todays liberal progressives. Much like an Old School conservative will not agree with a neo con.

Would you prefer "Progressive Conservative", as opposed to 'NeoCon'?

Because it's sorta the point.

Conservatives, by their very nature, shouldn't be spend happy, ever expanding, and constitution ignoring.

What we have now, that wears the conservative label.....is a far cry from conservationism.

No, it's a legitimate school of political thought and it's widespread.

They're liberals who believe we can use the US military to "do good" abroad, and don't care about big government here at home.

If you want to say that many republicans have become liberals, fine. But lets not create new terms that do nothing but confuse things.

I guess so, but I reject it as having any validity. Its an attempt by Kristol and others to justify military support for Israel--nothing more.

Not denying it, I just do not agree with classifying all republicans and conservatives as neocons. Neocon is a term created by a small group of people to justify military support of Israel. The term is much overused in todays discourse.
