Just as dumb an answer.
Send a check to any defense contractor you like anytime you like, just leave me out of it.

WTF does a long range stealth fighter that has no peer in technology from any potential adversary have to do with "defending the country"?

Build it with private capital and then compete with other private contractors for the contract, that is how capitalism works

That was done thats why they got the contract.....15-1 kill ratio vs F-15 which was your best. Without it you wont any air superiority fighters when F-15 is retired. Would it be better to hand them junk and watch it get toasted....yeah thats cost efficient.

No that's not what was done. The entire R&D budget was government welfare, and there is there has never been an F-15 shot down in combat, so it's retirement is not necessary. If you like big toys go buy an RV, but keep your hands out of my purse

F-15 was a big toy. F-15 is obsolete. R and D is factored into cost of everything otherwise there would never be any new products.

Fine, than pay for it with private capital, not my tax dollars. For the F-15 to be obsolete, it must have been surpassed in quality and capability by an adversaries aircraft. Educate me, which enemy aircraft has surpassed the F-15?

Not talking about "purchases", I am talking about subsidy for R&D and production and there is a huge difference. Again, what enemy system has made the F-15 obsolete?

Any Russian, Chinese or Indian jet with supercruise will be more than a match for F-15 since their missles are better than ours. Russia and India also working together on stealth fighter which will toast it no question.

No there isnt, it has to be paid either up front or at purchase since its part of the cost

The Russian-built Sukhoi Su-30MK, the high-performance fighter being exported to India and China, consistently beat the F-15C in classified simulations, say U.S. Air Force and aerospace industry officials. http://vayu-sena.tripod.com/comparison-f15-su30-1.html

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the same said of the MIG 23, 27 and 29, all of which turned out to be low tech junk in a high tech package? Wasn't the Mirage 2000 supposed to be the king of the sky, before Harriers that were not even designed for air to air combat beat them 8 to 1 over the Falklands? Sorry, not buying the hype and fear tactics from corporate whores

Gee the military doesn't usually share top secret strategic systems info with citizens on the internet, but if they do I'm sure they'll love having it posted everywhere.

I'll send em an email and ask.
