You ever listen to the congressional hearings?
They banter back and forth about media reports.. "Have you see piece in ______ ?" "Here, I refer to an article from _____ _______ _______ last week, regarding the increase in fuel prices.." It's just like here.. The imploding (like a star, getting smaller but more powerful.. Increasing density) media has a completely undue influence over the workings of our government. |

I have long held that were I an aspiring dictator, the media would be the first to be 'suppressed'. It boggles the mind to see a shitbag company like GE peddling "news" that benefits them financially.. Without so much as blinking an eye. It's disgusting to witness such a conflict of interest. |

I believe that Wrath hit on something the other day, about the next phase of capitalism. I have been thinking about this idea since seeing that post, trying to formulate an argument.
I don't yet have the pieces together enough to make a statement, but there is a kernel of something there that is nagging at me like an old wound... |
