"The NBC News, National Journal, Tampa Bay Times Republican Candidates Debate, in association with the Florida Council of 100, will take place on Monday, January 23 at 9:00pm ET at the University of South Florida. The debate will be moderated by NBC's Brian Williams and will include a panel with National Journal’s Beth Reinhard and the Tampa Bay Times’ Adam Smith."

Not for his positions. It was for his ability to put on a show. Although I guess that is as good a reason as any to vote for someone. |

1) Newt has some really great accomplishments in his past..
2) He's got the potential for greatness still. 3) The strength of his character and his ego tell people he won't be run over.. So, for good or bad, he will be his own man.. Beholden to no one. On the downside: He also has taken on a lot of baggage since he was great, and accomplished so much.. There's a bit of a question which Newt we're dealing with here.. The newt of old.. Or the new Newt who couldn't find his own asscrack with a map and both hands. |

I don't see him doing very well against Barry. The nasty, scowling, bombastic Newt won't play as well in the general. |
