The main argument I've heard is that the disenfranchised, the elderly, the disabled and others, don't actually have ID like a drivers license. There are no laws stating you need photo ID. So I can see where an argument could be made. |

The dispute right now is that the Fed is trying to quash attempts by the States to require photo ID. So saying "you can't have a law for it because there's no law against it'' sounds pretty fucking stupid... wouldn't you agree? |

This is the same DOJ that had no problem with the black panthers intimidating voters in front of a polling place. Not the least bit surprising. |

Good, but many liberals do. Could it possibly be that voter ID puts limitations on the opportunity for stuffing the ballot box? Also, some people work 8-5 and can't take time off to go have an ID done up. The DMV doesn't exactly have convenient hours. |

Hardly. Voter fraud is important to most responsible people, left or right. One of the main objections is that an ID costs money and usually requires access to transportation (which also costs money) to the address where the ID's are made. Believe it or not, for some people, $20 bucks for an ID and a $20 cab ride to get the ID are financially taxing. That's a week's worth of groceries for some. This whole thing is a left wing attempt to find ways to stuff the ballot boxes, because they know they cannot win a fair election. |

If they're working they also had to shown some form of valid photo ID as well....those pesky I-9's. |
