Default Anybody but Obama?
So you want to vote for anybody but Obama? Really? Anybody else is just fine? Why?

Obama supports the Patriot Act and indefinite detention of US citizens - So does every GOP candidate except Ron Paul

Obama supports socialized healthcare - So does every GOP candidate except Ron Paul

Obama supports the global war on terror - So does every GOP candidate except Ron Paul

Obama supports oppressive income taxation and transfers of wealth - So does every GOP candidate except Ron Paul

Obama supports crony capitalism - So does every GOP candidate except Ron Paul

It just goes to show that Americans have gotten used to not really having a choice.
I hope they realize they have one in Ron Paul.

I plan to vote Paul.. But I don't think he'll be the nominee..

America isn't ready for someone like him... They want the big government trains to run on time again.. They don't want to accept that we can't even afford to fuel them up.

Vote Paul. Talk to people. Spread the word.

He'll either be the nominee, or he won't be.

We're an empire now.. Republicans fall into three groups..

The strict "Fiscal conservative" group.. (I say strict, because all Repubicans are fiscal conservatives to some extent) Who don't much give a fuck about anything beyond budgets and taxes. Daniels and Christie were strong here, but it's a willful blindness to believe that all of our problems are monetary. Also, that all social and fiscal issues are neatly divisable... Because they AREN'T.

The "Social Conservative" group.. Sadly, many times the Neo's get in here and try to use moral issues as a cloak of legitimacy for their agenda.. Because they can't run on their REAL agenda. Nobody would elect them. So, they use these issues as camoflague.

The "Defense" group.. The bomb throwing idiots who a lot in common with the fiscal guys.. Except they won't accept that we JUST DON'T HAVE THE MONEY to do re-ordering the globe. They're all paranoid bed wetters, but.. sadly.. They're over represented in the Republican Party. It's times like this that I'd vote for a fiscal and socallly conservative Democrat over a Republican.. And for nearly half a century, people did.. till the radical liberals took over the Democrat party.

Paul is a good balance between these three positions.. It's a shame America has its head so far up its own asshole, or they might see this and stop peeing the bed at night and having homo-erotic dreams about torturing Osama Bin Laden.

He won't be. You are wasting your breath and typing skills---and your money if you send him any of it.

Then why do you guys waste so much time tearing him down?

He's nothing, remember?

The reason: He's indicative of a problem at the foundation of the party itself.. It's growing, and his performance is evidence of that.

Frankly, a bunch of conservatives are sick of the militancy and the creeping government.. They want the Constitution upheld, be it right, wrong or indifferent, and they want less interventionism.

listen carefully Hoff, some of RP's message is valid and I agree with it. Some of it is total bullshit.

The problem is that he is a terrible messenger and will never garner more than 5-10% of the vote.

You and his supporters are wasting your time and helping the corrupt socialist obama to a second term.

Our state is one of the last to vote in primaries, so that's what I plan on doing.
I refuse to let other states make my choice for me this time. Too much is at stake and I'm not going the "lesser of the two evils" route.

And yet, the part you think is total bullshit is the part that has overwhelming support among Americans across the nation.

No, you see, you're wasting your breath. Because you're not actually saying anything. You're not making any point.

It is no waste of my time, energy, or money to support liberty and a candidate that believes in it. That is a noble pursuit. But just going on message boards repeating the same trite statements is of no value whatsoever.

then you should go for it. do what you think is right. and I will do what I think is right. Its called freedom.

I have said many times that the most important thing we can do this year is get obama out of power. I will campaign vigorously for that end.

If you want to continue the worship of RP and thereby ensure 4 more years of obama, then thats your choice.
