Default What's the endgame for the Tea Party & OWS?
Both began as contrived events.. Both have taken on a life of their own.

The Tea Party influences congressional politics and has a sort of caucus & candidates in office. OWS has youth hippies and the unwashed parked in fucking tents.

Are they:

1) A coup by ideologues against a self perpetuating, bi-partisan, political center...

2) An attempt at cheap kabuki by a corrupt, self perpetuating, bi-partisan political center.

I think the Tea Party will have a far greater impact on this country that OWS ever could.

OWS wants to take someone else's wealth. The Tea Party fights for the Constitution. Taking someone's wealth is non-Constitutional.

They are a drugged, AIDs infected, unwashed, unemployed, confused group of neo-hippies. Most of them will become teachers, politicians and community organizers, just like their 60's counterparts did.

The OWS has no game! It's has no roots...just grass! (pun intended)

The TEA Party on the other hand, is a real grassroots movement with an end game that will be about reducing the size of government and restoring power back to the states and the people as the constitution prescribes...
...and the corporations and Republicans who started it, funded it and support it.

The tea party's objective is to reduce the size of government resulting in less money being ripped from working people's pockets to turn it over to people that don't work. What does that have to do with big business?

Freedom Works, Americans for Prosperity, the Koch brothers, Dick Armey and Rupert Murdoch have all been instrumental in the promotion and funding of the TP.

The best analysis I have seen yet of the TEA party movement:

The Tea Party's aversion to government spending is as pure an expression of rational self-interest as we have seen in American history. Like any new movement, it attracts more than its fair share of oddballs. The fact that a movement led by amateurs continues to wield so much power proves that it has good reason to be there. http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Global_.../MK01Dj04.html

When Spengler talks, you should listen.

Let me clarify my question: what's wrong with making money and wanting to keep some of it?

You don't keep the lion's share of your money? I make money and keep most of it (I spend a lot of it) and hell, I'm taxed at a higher rate than you are.

Nothing is wrong with wanting to keep most of what you make. I already said that.
