Then you should re-consider.. Because Mossfern wants to legislate morality too. |

Leftists act like they're at the mercy of the OMG!!! JESUS FREAKS AND THEIR DAMNED MORALITY!!!!
But, the truth is, they are the ultimate in legislating morals. Everything from the demon toys in Kids Meals to the myriad evils of salt.. It's a hollow argument.. They're proven their stripes. I'll take the Tenth Amendment and States and Localities over their one size fits all, moral diktats from Fedgov any day. |

So, which moral paradigm is acceptable by you ? You really want the government to enforce said paradigm, that's the only way it will work and it will fail. You cannot legislate morality. I mostly agree with Mossfern here. I'm not sure if you can legislate morality, but you can legislate immorality. When you make laws that steal property from citizens and redistribute it, when you have laws that take away a person's freedom of association, when they are forced to hire or sell or rent to people they'd otherwise not associate with, when you pass unconstitutional laws at the federal level that limit the power of the states and localities to govern themselves according to their own best interests, you are essentially legislating immorality. For instance, the word discrimination today has a negative connotation. Why? Discrimination is a good thing. When you go to make a purchase, do you not discriminate based on quality, price, reliability, etc? |

For example. It's our property, and we (ostensibly) control it via our "representatives" in clowngress.. Er, Congress.. rather. |

I don't see it as a moral issue.. While the capital and products are privately owned, this market is ours collectively. |

I agree, but where are you putting morals into fiscal policy, I guess is what I am trying to get at. Let's say, how is abortion related to fiscal policy ? Or pick another social issue (except AGW, that has many fiscal issues tied into it). |

THEY are the ones "putting morals" into fiscal policy with all their phony "rights" we're supposed to fund (Like abortion) the re-distribution schemes, free shit and everything else. |

Leftists act like they're at the mercy of the OMG!!! JESUS FREAKS AND THEIR DAMNED MORALITY!!!! OMG trans fat (which the modern libs endorsed because militant vegetarians didn't want saturated fats) is going to kill us. STFU, bring back the saturated fats then, they are the precursor to many hormones, like testosterone. |

Yes, I agree. I can't stand that shit either. They are trying to legislate what I can and cannot do with my body. (no offense) |

Who's "putting morals" into fiscal policy? Yes, the constitution being brought back would be nice. The Left and the Right need to mind their own business and quite poking their nose into everyones lives. We got Lefties trying to tell me what I can drive, what to eat, etc. and the Righties trying to tell me I need a God in my life, prayer in schools, etc. |

As Hoffa stated, it is the left who wants to mandate morality and behavior at the national level. They're no good, and therefore can't imagine that any of the little people out there could possibly be good. I am just glad I could find SOMETHING I could somewhat disagree with you on. lol. |

Typical OWS commietard = I ran up my credit card, bought a house I couldn't afford, went to college and stayed drunk for 4 years and took a 2nd mortgage so I could buy a Mercedes. Well fuck, I invested all of that money I didn't have into this economy so now it's time for all those rich people I gave that money to to give some back! I made all of you rich through irresponsible consumerism so now you owe me!
