That's really not the point.

Christ's lessons were never intended to be applicable to business. They were lessons of attitude and personal conduct.

Oh?

It seemed the point to me....

I disagree.

The lessons were meant for every aspect of life.

Personal, Family, Business etc etc etc.....

I don't recall Christ saying 'do as I say, except for when you are rollerblading'......

There's no exclusions to those morals, IMO.

Furthermore, we intend to establish a system where all are messiahs!

Common ownership of the means of Godhood!

We ARE the 99%!!!!!!

Let's not confuse the issue here. Religion is one thing, and business another. To take a set of higher moral codes, and attempt to translate them so as to be applicable to such as profiteering and material gain, is about as disgusting a perversion as it gets.

Fuck, why not just go the whole hog, and swap the term 'church' for 'bank'. The Bank Of Jesus Christ.

Well.

The point the venerable Mr. Adams was making was that even if the dominant religion hadn't already outlawed theft millennia before, any great society must, in it's formation, include this inviolable right.

Business and religion are a contradistinction.

The one pertaining to matters of the soul. The other to matters of property and money.

This is foul.

He had a trade.

His later ministry was not founded upon it. Trades were something one was born into. Buddha was a prince before he became an ascetic monk. The manner of his origins, whilst having a bearing upon his motive, in no way played any part in his discoveries, or teachings.

BUSNINESS IS NOT EVIL.

IT IS NOT A CRIME TO CONDUCT BUSINESS.

IT IS NOT A CRIME TO TURN A PROFIT.

Thou shalt not steal.

That's not some literal tenet regarding property. It points to avarice as being materialistic, and hence unspiritual. The mistake of objectifying one's value in terms of the material. Shit, do you believe the Commandments were written for the good of capitalism?

If one raises corn, alone in the wilderness, and he doesn't create profit in the form of seed corn, he is dead. I suppose he could travel to Heaven all the quicker for it, but I don't understand starvation to be the ultimate goal of the deity...

I won't say otherwise.

But business is business. It's not religion.
