Almost all the Founding Fathers signed their names to such statements as "It is not only the right but the duty of the people to overthrow tyrannical government."
Even today, various state constitutions say, almost quoting Abraham Lincoln, "The people have not only a right but a duty to get rid of a government that is abusing their rights." |

Why do we even bother with the US Government? The you'll be charged with conspiracy to commit treason, and thrown the fuck in a holding tank in some subterranean facility for the rest of your natural life. That's why. |

Cos if you don't, a group of powerfully built, grim looking men will come hurtling through your windows, disorient you with flash grenades, and collapse your ribcage with rifle stocks. After pistol whipping your teeth out and setting fire to your house. |

Cos if you don't, a group of powerfully built, grim looking men will come hurtling through your windows, disorient you with flash grenades, and collapse your ribcage with rifle stocks. After pistol whipping your teeth out and setting fire to your house. Even the suggestion of such a thing calls for a constitutional rebellion. A RIGHT given to us by our founding fathers. I won't be the person to start it, nor will I be one of the first couple hundred to jump on board, but if there's a couple thousand people marching on Washington, I'd join. |

Not if millions of Americans stood together and refused to co operate. If the only power a government has is intimidation, it is destined for failure. I generally don't have that much faith in the public. You need to starve them before they'll act. Anything less, and they do nothing. They just want a 'quiet life'. I guess that's a good thing most of the time. But it's not much good for facing down a government. |

With the economy in the shitter, millions unemployed and an illegal tyrant in the White House, Americans are less likely to lie down for the government like they have in the past. Something like a total depression. Or some piece of legislation that goes too far. |

That's probably true and most unfortunate. But things aren't getting any better..... It's not that I think people are incapable of striking back. It's just that you have to throw a grenade at them before they'll blink. |

Well, we'll see, Bill. If things keep on going downhill, it'll obviously make it more likely. |
