Heh. Who didn't see it coming? This is an area where "conservatives" tend to piss me off.. I actually had a gaggle of "Conservatives" on another site once, telling me how great this would all be and not to worry because there would be so much TRADE, there would be NO WAR. No concerns. No security issues.. That trade would paper over everything. These guys are working from THEORIES out of a BOOK.. and it's not a history book, let me tell you. Somebody told them this would be wonderful in college or something, so they're convinced of it. I'm not so sure.. I think maybe they're overly optimistic.. They are even convinced that China & India are going to behave the way we want because of trade. It's like a cult. |

China, yea, their economy may grow, possibly even exceed our own. It won't hold, their economy is predominately foreign controlled, teetering on the backs of a repressed workforce.
What are they offering? A single culture? Confucianism? In a Western world, it won't last. We've been hearing this about China for for nearly a century. |
