Default More sign of Unions buckling; teachers urged to return to classes.
Yeah, this is good. The unions are starting to see how pissed off the public is that the teachers place themselves above their students. If the unions were confident of success, they would continue to fight. But they are giving in slowly but surely.

Wis. Union Head Calls on Teachers to Go to Work

Published February 20, 2011
Associated Press

MADISON, Wis.--The head of Wisconsin's powerful teachers' union is calling on educators to return to classrooms Monday and Tuesday rather than continue being absent to protest an anti-union bill at the state Capitol.

The protests against a bill that would take away public workers' right to collectively bargain for their benefits and working conditions forced several school districts to shut down last week after teachers called in sick to join demonstrators in Madison.

That's great.. They must know they're fueling a backlash that CAN'T be helpful in the long term.

Sarah is not going to like this. She supports the protest.

This whole thing could kick the pubs in the crotch too. I'd be perfectly happy with two new parties running this place.

Guess they should re-read "Rules for Radicals" they seem to have forgotten the part about not harming their position by doing something stupid, like getting doctors to write fake medical excuses for them on street corners.
