The Obama administration on Tuesday called on Congress to back a six-year, $53-billion investment in high-speed, intercity rail, saying it was "dreaming big" on reinventing US infrastructure. |

http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2011/02/w...gh-speed-rail/ Sheesh...it'll create 11 million jobs.....reduce carbon emissions across the board by 61%, lower the transport cost of goods, reduce inflation, and cure cancer. 53 billion is chickenfeed for all the good that will come from this. Who's obama trying to pay off with this one? |

Who's obama trying to pay off with this one? I dunno.. Minorities use public transit heavily. It could be contract steering. Ideological bent. Hard to say with that idiot.
But what troubles me about this is, he's saying it.. When anyone else in his shoes would be hiding under the Resolute desk in shame. |

That's been clear from day 1 with that nigger. He still thinks he's some kind of 'champion' of good.....heralding in a new era of righteousness, or some such shit. These sweetheart deals with all the groups and companies that put him in office, are just the price of doing business, and well worth the cost to tax payers, because it put him in a position to do all this 'good'... His narcissism and arrogance is all he has. |

He's been pretty thoroughly rejected.. I wonder if the new model is do all the damage you can, as fast as you can.. and forget about a second term? He may as well break out the tape recorder now, and start making recordings for his people to put to paper. Because a couple more years, and he'll have nothing to do, other than write books, much like another 1 shot wonder d-bag potus. He's jimmy2....only more arrogant and (hard to believe, but) dumber. |

It's really the construction unions who are lobbying for this crap. I remember when they had a referendum to build the international airport in Denver. A friend of mine at the time made a living driving a cement truck. His union was spending hundreds of thousands of dollars lobbying to get the referendum passed. You've probably seen this, but for the benefit of others I repost it. I sometimes wonder just how serious the GOP is about that.. |

This has BEEN happening, all across libtard America.
In Austin, Texas, the transit Authority, Capital Metro, pushed through a scheme to force this farce upon the populace. It has gone over budget, as well as running in the red, since the day after it was started, practically. BUT THEY WON'T JUST STEP BACK, take a breath, AND LET IT DIE LIKE THE MISCARRIAGE IT WAS! Suffice it to say that I'm shocked at this news... |
