Default Problems with authority..
Can you believe this?

http://www.thesmokinggun.com/documen...ember-arrested

Second Pranknet Member Busted
Texan, 19, facing felony raps in two states over hoaxes

As detailed in this criminal complaint, Markle, 19, convinced a McDonald's worker to set off the restaurant's fire suppression system, which released a liquid from overhead extinguishers. Markle then told the employee that the liquid contained a toxin and directed the worker to break the store's windows "for ventilation." Four windows were eventually smashed and the eatery incurred damages in excess of $5000, according to police. Please note: Markle did this OVER THE PHONE by posing as a Fire Marshal or something.. He did it again at a Wendy's in Louisiana.. With similar results. He just got sentenced to 5 years.

Now, Markle is undoubtedly an asshole and a gigantic douche for pulling stunts like this.. But what about the employees who actually did the damage? Why are they off the hook? I mean, they mindlessly obeyed an authority figure over the TELEPHONE, and started destroying property.. and that means they're clean and he's the only bad guy?

Am I the only one who sees a problem with this?

I guess my biggest problem with this entire thing is that we're rewarding (By not punishing) people for behaving like mindless robots when an "authority figure" calls them on the phone and tells them to do something impossibly stupid..

I'd tell whoever it is to go fuck themselves and laugh.. These people trashed entire restaurants and somehow that's considered to be a normal, completely understandable response to being TOLD, by a complete stranger.. OVER THE PHONE, to trash an entire business.

Years ago, I managed several restaurants.. Setting off the fire suppression system is a huge deal.

It's there to be used, so if you need it.. hit it.. but the second you do, massive costs are going to be incurred.

The whole place has to be shut down and scrubbed. Product all has to be trashed and the system re-charged before you can even open the doors again. In some areas, you may have to undergo an inspection too.

It's a much bigger and more expensive proposition than it sounds like in the article..

Garza said Hernandez-Jaimes was “definitely fired” immediately following the incident. Gee, ya think?

I suppose you can see the danger of people are so obediant to what they perceive to be authority, that they just go along with whatever someone says. "Oh, he's a fire marshal, he must know what he's talking about!"

But quite honestly, there's a difference. This isn't obediance in the sense of stomping on someone's rights. It isn't like an officer telling you to shoot someone, they sincerely believed this was the best course of action to avoid a dangerous hazard. So I can't blame them for not knowing better.

Fine.. I'll blame them enough for both of us, then.

Amazing, isn't it?

It happens in Hotels too.. Some stranger calls and claims to be an authority figure.. Next thing you know, they're breaking the windows out to placate him..

One thing all the cases (And there are a lot of them) have in common is mindlessly destroying other people's shit..

I wonder if these same people could so easily be talked into trashing THEIR OWN house or car?

Bet you ten bucks they'd balk if the assets were theirs.

That would be interesting..

Pranknet is a bunch of fuckups that get off on this stuff.. But they don't do it for monetary gain that I am aware of.

But given our (Apparent) propensity for following even the silliest of "orders" it might work..

For example: How much harder would it be to get a nigger to bash up his OWN donk car?

I bet it can't be done.. I bet these people would NEVER even CONSIDER tearing up their own stuff..

I THINK THE PLAN IS TO GET FINANCED WITH AS LITTLE DOWN AS POSSIBLE... THEN WALK AWAY ONCE IT'S WRECKED OR THE REPO PEOPLE START CLOSING IN.

A LOT OF PEOPLE NEVER OWN ANYTHING BUT A RAP SHEET, WHICH WORKS KIND OF LIKE A REVOLVING CHARGE ACCOUNT. EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE, A COP WILL RUN WARRANTS ON THEM

AND THEY MIGHT DO A FEW WEEKS, THEN IT'S OFF TO THE RACES AGAIN. THEY RARELY EVER MAKE A FULL "PAYMENT" ON THEIR "ACCOUNT"

Listen to how indignant the idiot is..

It's a good thing I wasn't the front desk person.. Because my response to "Well, what are we gonna do?" would have been "Well first.. I'm calling the police... Faggot. Thanks for choosing Best Western!"

Pranknet-Style Hoax Fools ESPN Reporter

http://www.thesmokinggun.com/documen...-espn-reporter

OCTOBER 21--In a move straight out of the Pranknet playbook, an ESPN reporter early this morning was convinced by an unknown caller to her hotel to break out her room's windows because the building was purportedly on fire.

How bout the lunatic that walked into the Discovery Channel a few months back, taking hostages and demanding that they show more "climate change" bullshit?
