They SHOULD be ripped on this.. And yea, people on the ground are more sane. Always have been, actually. More sane and level headed than both parties. Also, the R's are nothing without the I's.

But the Republican leadership isn't sane.. Far too many of them just want to sit back and cut deals. Do a war if it benefits all the right people. It's a political calculation for them.. Not a moral or ethical one.

Remember, this is the party that was HAPPY to sit in the cold for almost a half century.. as long as they got a little bone chucked their way, that was JUST FINE.
