... The presiding deity is Lord Ranganatha who is also known as - Nam Perumal (Our Lord) Azhagiya Manavalan (The Handsome Groom).

Sri Ranganatha Moolavar is called PERIA-PERUMAL...

..because He was the Kula-Dheywam of the Lord Rama... the PERUMAL HIMSELF.!

...and so Sri-Ranganatha.. then at Ayodhya.. was worshipped by that Perumal.!!!

Whereas the Uthsavar is called NAM-PERUMAL..!
