Sadly, insincerity in politics go hand in hand. I can't say if Newt was being insincere with his comments regarding the Palestinians; I do think, he will spend a lot of time double-shuffling in an attempt to take some of the heat off... whether from those of his own party or others. I would hope or like to believe he was being forthright... but cynicism of all politicians makes me doubtful.
