The settlements are one of the final status issues to be decided by negotiation according to the Oslo Accords. Freezing settlement construction is conceding in advance that Jews returning to their ancestral homeland is somehow wrong or illegal. Jews Leave Gush Katif..... This is seen by the world that it belonged to the arabs.
Jews free terrorists.... This is seen by the world that Jews admit that these people were wrongly incarcerated.
Jews freeze building in Judeah and Samaria...... Well obviously this is because it's all arab land and Jews have no business there anyway.

There was some story about Solomon deciding who a baby belonged to. All I remember was, it wasn't the one who was willing to carve it up.
It's way past time to stop appeasing and start doing what's best for Israel.
