We need to get off that aid. There is nothing more humiliating then watching our leaders bow down to the American administration and begging for aid like a child begging his father for more allowance. Getting off this needs to be a national priority.

Absolutely. The Israeli/American economic relationship has got to be based on business transactions and bilateral trade, not on charity.

By the same token, Israel MUST stop its dependence on importing foreign products, like replacement parts for military equipment, etc. Until that happens, Israel will be way too vulnerable to set its own national agenda.
