Try to cut aid and the 75% requirement that the aid be spent in the US on American firms employing Americans and you will see a huge fight in Congress.

Right, it's important to keep in mind that the American aid to Israel is very beneficial to the U.S.

And that's one of the reasons that it should be redefined as a commercial relationship, not direct aid which implies a one-way benefit.

Maybe we should consider it as part of Obama's economic stimulus package and add a few thousand more jobs "created... or saved" in America?
