Taxes are part of the social contract. It's the price of citizenship. Like one would hope never to take advantage of the prison system, the fire department or the public mental health system, we pay for it because it's necessary to do so in order to have a society that functions. Obama's taxes are really no different than the taxes you already pay and none of you here would assert that George Bush is the great socialist by virtue of the fact that his sheer neglect causes you to pay more in taxes. Bush started out with a 5.4 trillion with a T dollar surplus. He managed to put a minus sign in front of that number. That is a 'tax' in that someone, is going to be on the hook ultimately to pay it.
