And yet there is a 160 year history of hyphenated Americans. It's acceptable, encouraged even to be an Irish-American or a Greek-American (which by the way has an even more liberal law of ingathering than does Israel) or German-American or Italian-American or Vietnamese-American or Chinese -American and so on. We don't generally question their loyalty, unless of course you're talking about a shooting war where those countries are shooting at us.
But we're 'special'. I'm a 2nd Generation American citizen. If that's not enough for the xenophobic hyper patriots then maybe THEY need to move back to wherever they came from.
