Instead, as the Leader of the Free World, we have to somehow reach out to those that hate us, that will use any means to defeat us, and find some kind of common ground. There is one, regardless of what some may say.

Your statement presupposes those who hate you are doing so for rational purposes, and that a common ground acceptable to both sides exists.
