One of the stalls at the sideshow at the show in the town where I grew up had those coin machines where you dropped a coin into onto the pile in the machine and a sliding thingy pushed them out. Some fell down the sides and went to the stall holder. The ones that fell down the front go to the punter.

I used to lurk around those things and chuck a coin in when the pile was ready to fall. It was a good earner
