Its worth knowing that the Buddha didn't teach about the "Bardo". It was taught by an Indian Tantric teacher called Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche) who went to Tibet in the 9th Century - and it was then absorbed into what is now called "Tibetan Buddhism".
