Well tell your grandmother that if she wants to see you happy, then she should let you date this girl

ask the girl first

just ask her if she wants to "go see a movie or something"
if she says sure ask her if there is a movie she want sto see this weekend
if she asks you to suggest the movie suggest something middle of the road, not a total guy movie or chick flick.

or w/e, just ask her and try not to get to anxious about it.
