How I see it (but of course I will see it this way)...

They are your parents and while ever you are living under their roof, you have to cop their rules. You may not like it, but that's just the way it goes.

My friend's 13yr old daughter wants a mobile phone. Her parents have told her 'not until you are 16'. Now, she is talking about suicide and all that because 'all of her friends have one and she doesn't' and seeing them for 8 hours a day @ school isn't enough.

Kids these days have to learn respect and when 'no means no'.

If the little snots grow up hating their parents and resenting them for the rest of their lives because they never got 'their own way'...if they end up topping themselves because they are so shallow that doing everything their friends do is 'a matter of life and death'..

.....so be it.

In Addition: If I was your mother and I said 'No Facebook until you are 13' (a decision I agree with btw) and you started to question my authority and backtalk me, all of your PC privileges would be removed for a month.
You would also find yourself grounded faster than the Hindenburg.

Think of it that way.
OP listen to this guy he is smart. Besides Facebook is overrated. I am thinking about deleting mine.
