Yeah, for DBQ's just try to analyze any details you can find, i.e. a serious sounding article might be from a source that is lampooning the events that were currently occurring. I don't like that, since you'd have to divide time between reading, remembering, analyzing, then writing the thing :/
AP Physics was given to us on my sophomore year, the teacher pretty much said "I'm going to teach you enough to get a 3, study on your own if you want higher" (got a 3)
If possible, try to have a year with just AP classes, having a 5.0 on a progress report looks awesome
One way we blew off steam afterwards was using those bar code labels they give and sticking them on people. :P
