There is nothing in that article that says contact lenses let more light into your eyes... in fact the only reference is "Soft contact lenses provide very little protection" which is in the context of whether glasses provide protection or not.


Hoisted by my own petard, I see.

The penalty for being lazy in my own postings. However a small amount of deductive reasoning, from the information provided in the article I cited, would suggest that my statement is verifiable.

When I was being fitted for my soft contact lenses, so I wouldn't have to wear my prescription plastic lens glasses, my Optometrist advised me to wear a good pair of sunglasses as more light (UV rays being in the light spectrum) would enter my eyes. So yes, I did neglect to mention that my statement was relative. By the way, I do have very deep, dark, baby blues.
