I have couple of Thai calendars, and notice quite a few holidays when Thais don`t work...but I can not remember them, and my Nooch scolds me for it.. when we chat on line, and I ask her why she is at home, not in her office?

For people who want to know when the Thais are on holiday for 2008, you can see a list here. To answer your question as to which holiday they like the best. I think they like any holiday that allows them a day off work. Though these days more and more Thai people are complaining about the dangers surrounding Songkran.
