Buddhist Funeral.
I have just attended my first Buddhist funeral last Sunday-here in Bkk.-(and I taped it on my video cam. I was told it is not objectionable to the berieved)..It was unique experience to me...and as all funerals are-it was touching, with the music (which was not overly loud) then ceremony of family of the dead giving offerings of orange clothes/robes, to the temple priests...and down to the last goodbye...closing of coffin,...and pushing it into the crematory oven
...Though I was explained some things about Buddhist funeral...still some things I don't know...like how about much does a temple charge for cremating a deceased...i.e. how much does an average Buddhist funeral cost?... who supplies the coffin?..the temple, or the family of the dead?....When a person dies in Thailand at home or in some accident what comes next?...calling police?..or funeral temple?......
