It seems that a lot of people like to use skin colour as an indication of class.
Apparently the whiter you are, the higher up the ladder you can consider yourself, hence the immense market in whitening creams.
It doesn't seem to matter where you are in the world, people will always come up with ways to look down on other people. Pretty sad if you let it get to you I suppose.
