Singapore to help Pskov build technology parks

The Pskov Region authorities are planning to build high-tech industrial parks, regional governor Andrei Turchak said.
“Following my visit to Singapore and a meeting with JURONG Consultants, we reached an understanding to sign an agreement on the company’s cooperation with and participation in the design, construction and management of high-tech industrial parks in the Pskov Region – Moglino and Stupnikovo, which will be Pskov’s own Skolkovo,” Turchak told journalists.
He added that under the agreement the region is to carry out all the spadework, which will require about a billion rubles.
“In view of the region’s border position and closeness to Moscow and St. Petersburg, the project is expected to create an impetus for the region’s economy,” Turchak added.
He noted that JURONG Consultants is one of the top five global consultancy firms and one of the three finalists in the Skolkovo project competition.
