On June 23, 2009, James Hansen along with 30 other mining protesters were arrested in Raleigh County, West Virginia.

James Hansen and about 100 other mining protesters were arrested in 2010 in front of the White House in Washington, DC.

James Hansen and 142 other activists were arrested in 2011, at another demonstration in front of the White House

According to Hansen’s projection, the temperature should have increased 1.5°C when compared to the 1970s level. In truth the temperature rose only 0.6°C.
