The most effective and easiest method I have ever used is the early morning method. It worked the first time Ive ever tried it back when I knew nothing about OBEs, and still works today, 6 years later.

1. Wake up about five hours after you fall asleep.

2. Stay awake for about 45 minutes to an hour. This allows your mind to fully awaken, which is crucial to consciously leaving your body.

3. Go back to bed. Set your alarm clock to go off 20 minutes from the time you go back to bed.

4. As you are falling back to sleep, roll your eyes up slightly and imagine a swirling energy in the center of your forehead. This is called your Third Eye chakra. Focusing on this allows suggestions to be planted into your subconsious.

5. As you are focusing on your third eye, repeat to yourself: When my body falls asleep I will leave my body. Say this to yourself over and over again, do not stop until you fall back to sleep.

6. That is all you have to do. Now there are a few different senarios from this point:

1. Your body will fall asleep, but your mind will remain awake while this happens. You will feel a deep sinking sensation and heavyness. Then your body will become paralised, and soon after you will get a sensation of intense vibrations all over your body. This is your energy body separating from your physical body. When this happens, think of floating upwards. Feel yourself floating up. You will find yourself floating up and out of your body.

2. You will fall asleep for what seems like a second. You will awake, and your body will be completely paralised, and possibly shaking with intense vibrations. If you do not feel vibrations but your body is paralised, clear your mind and think of floating up. You will get vibrations and will be floating up.

3. You will fall completely asleep. However, when this happens, the chances for you to have a lucid dream are extremely high. If you become lucid in your dream, become aware of your body sleeping in your bed. Just imagine being back at your body with the intention of having an OBE. You will find yourself back in your body with vibrations. At this point, just imagine floating up and you will.

4. When the alarm wakes you up, you may or may not already be out of your body. If you are out, you will be sent back to your body. Simply hit the snooze button, even if nothing has happened yet. Allow your body to fall back to sleep, while concentrating of feeling all of the sensations that accompany it. Keep focusing on your third eye and telling yourself you are leaving your body. I have found that an OBE occurs 100% of the time within 5 hits of the snooze button.
