I don't think that Walmart bought them in 2007. Pichardo seems to have quite a valid intel on stuff involving business matters in the DR. If he says Grupo Ramos/Sirena is not yet owned by Walmart, I believe him, regardless of what some speculation published in 2007 tries to imply.
