Just saying he's in his prime, I understand he can opt out in 3 years (Which he will) and go elsewhere but seriously dude if you wanna win, leave! Cause Minnesota aint going anywhere anytime soon. He's basically just there, putting up sick numbers only to watch the Playoffs from home. Derrick Williams had an OK Rookie season, hopefully he contributes more next year. Roy is a huge question mark but they didnt overpay, if his knees hold up thats a good signing, IF.. But looking at the rest of the roster, its ehh.. They dont even use JJ Barea the way the should, Mavs should of kept him.

Its just a blah roster and really offers non competition to the Western powerhouses. My guess is Love will be a laker down the road.
My point was that he couldn't leave...The Wolves would have matched any offer. Much like Gordon and the Suns. He can say how he really wants to play there and all, but by signing a max years offer sheet with them, he's really agreeing to play those seasons with the Hornets.

Minnesota has a better roster than you give them credit for, though. Pekovic is a nice banger in the middle, a good complement to Love's style of play, and Rubio is a great sidekick for Love. Williams, well, he doesn't really have a position...probably best off backing up Love or playing PF if they go small. What they really need is a gunner on the outside for Rubio to dish to when Love is covered.

Regardless, they have the best coach in the NBA, so they can overcome most talent issues. An actual offseason in the system will help greatly. If Wes Johnson could become even league average, this team would be scary.

I wonder what the Lakers will look like in 3 years if Love wants to go there...Kobe on his last legs, if there at all. Nash should be about done. Gasol as well. Bynum might be there, if he re-ups before next season. But it's not like they'll be racking up lottery talent the next couple of years to restock with...
