Since I posted the original sensationalist article link, I might as well note that there was a rebuttal of sorts by a Saudi Woman on CNN today.

Mainly, the commentary notes that such behavior by judges is becoming more and more out of place. She notes the continuing movement by royalty and others to stamp out this kind of thinking as harmful to Islam.

It's an interesting read and perspective that often doesn't get heard due to media bias and selling stories.
