i had that problem a while back. some places had 20# pet limits and others were only for cats. i got lucky when i found a place on cragslist that was open to all pets. i put down i had a american bull terrier(took the pit out) and they accepted it. if they had problems with it after i signed the contract, i could have sued them for doing so for voiding my contract. well the apatment worked out great to say the least. i walked him every day, but i also made sure to have a muzzle on him before opening my apartment door. residents seemed to like that i did that.. what im saying is check all your adds in craigslist.... find apartments on the outskirts of were your planning to move too no further than 25 minutes away. usually you will find some that will take them, or if that dosent work some houses are just about as cheap to rent as apartments. you just need to look a bit harder.
