I can't believe some of the attitudes and judgements posted on here.

Sometimes things occur in life where hard decisions that other people may not agree with have to be made. Sometimes, despite our best intentions...we have to rehome a pet.

And while I too am sick of seeing folks talk about what THEY would do in a certain situation, they are not the OP and everyone is different regarding what they can and cannot do.

We don't know how much actual notice the OP had that they would have to move, nor do we know ANY of the circumstances surrounding the move. We know nothing of the OP's support structure or financial situation.

If she knew there may be a move months ago, and simply procrastinated on dealing with the dog...than yeah, I can see the judgmental attitudes being on target. But we do not know this is the case. If she JUST found she would have to move with very little notice...it's not really her fault that she doesn't have more time.

We do not know the whole story. Jumping to conclusions, however typical and likely they may be, isn't helping anybody.
