I too have been following the latest Atkins plan.

I like the structure and guide lines of the plan.

After a little over a year, I am still on OWL typically nuts, berries, beans and occasionally eating higher rung items eg high end chocolate pieces, a slice of pizza, a couple tacos, or burritos (rice?!). I seldom have bread, rice, potatoes or noodles. I have lost about 40. I still have about 30 pounds to lose. Although I do not count my carbs religiously, I am around 40-50 net carbs per day. I must admit, I am living more of a maintenance than a weight-losing WOE.

I personally found that having fruit in the house is bad as I will eat a large amount at once. I do have the occasional bite or two.

I have never found the diet to be very restrictive. It just means I am making conscious choices about what I eat. I could eat meat and salad every day and be quite happy.

Reading the forums, I notice that many women seem to need to be closer to the starting net carb range (20-30) to lose weight.
