I'm not sure, as I've never experienced it, but I wouldn't run on it until the pain goes away. Everyone says to apply "RICE" (rest, ice, compression, elevation.

Good luck, and I hope it feels better. I strained my inner thigh muscle a few weeks ago, and it's still in pain. I kept running on it for the first week or 2, but that probably wasn't a good idea.
