I tore (almost severed) the ACL on my right knee, and it's far from just mild pain...... It is very, very painful to the point where i couldn't walk without my knee dislocating. I had major surgery and was in rehab for almost a year after. I doubt what you have is a torn ACL, but if it keeps up i would recommend going to your doctor or even a specialist. You may have just strained something.

By the way, how is the new job going?
