I average 40-60 total carbs per day, 20-30 net (subtracting fiber and whatever). It did take me a while to get enough energy for running. Your body really goes thru a change. I only noticed the lack of energy in my running.

Also, if you're adding more days of running, you may want to cut down on your distance so you don't increase by too much. If you were running 2 miles 3x a week, you may want to try 1.5 miles 5x.
